Whole Hog: Custom Berkshire Pork From Our Virginia Farm

We will help you fill out a custom cut sheet, so you get the cuts you and your family will love. Our pigs are bred and raised on Bradley Family Farm in Suffolk, VA. We have chosen Berkshires to raise because they are one of the very few pig breeds that the meat will naturally marble, giving the meat a superior flavor. They are never given antibiotics or added hormones.   

  • Reserve your Whole Hog in our online store and pay the $200 deposit. Deposits will be credited toward your final payment and are non-refundable. 
  • We will email you a copy of our cut sheet. We can help you fill out the cut sheet over the phone or you can fill it out on your own and email a copy back to us. 
  • We will contact you once your meat has been processed and we will send you an invoice for final payment on your hogs hanging weight plus all processing fees. If picking up, payment can be made prior to or at time of pick-up. If you have chosen the option to have your meat delivered, payment must be made prior to delivery. 

  • Whole Hog – $4.50 per pound hanging weight (Hanging weight is the weight after the hog has been slaughtered and insides  removed. This weight is typically about 72-78% of the hogs live weight and is the  weight the processor will use for calculating their fees. This is not the final weight  of the finished product you receive once processing is complete.)  
  • $200 Deposit credited toward final invoice and is non-refundable 
  • PLUS all processing costs. Fees for processing will vary depending on hanging weight, cuts chosen, and added fees for smoking, slicing, link sausages, etc. 
  • $30 Optional Home Delivery (within our normal delivery area)

 We attempt to reach a live weight of approximately 260-300 lbs by your hogs processing date. This will result in a hanging weight of approximately 195-225 lbs. The numbers used below are approximations and your particular hog and cuts desired may fall outside these ranges. 

Price for the Hog: $4.50/lb x (195 – 225 lbs) = $877.50 – $1012.50

Price for processing can vary greatly depending on what you choose for cuts, ingredients, smoking, etc. They will typically be between $400-600 for a whole hog.
